Post-shipment financing where a Brazilian or foreign exporter sells export receivables to an institution located abroad – Cayman Branch.
This is a sale without right of recourse to the exporter, in other words, the bank assumes the risk on the importer. The exporter will receive the net amount between the value of the receivables minus the cost of the sale, by endorsing the drafts to CCB Brasil. This eliminates commercial and political risk besides the collection work involved.
