CCB Brasil has an extensive network of correspondent banks abroad, enabling it to collect export bills quickly and securely.
Collection transactions presume the exporter’s trust in the importer’s ability to pay. After shipment the exporter delivers the original shipping documents to CCB Brasil, which are then send abroad in collection. In spot transactions the documents are released to the foreign importer against payment of the goods, while in the case of term transactions the documents are released to the foreign importer against their acceptance of the draft that accompanies the shipping documents. These procedures are under the responsibility of the collecting bank abroad.
