China Construction Bank (Brasil) Banco Múltiplo S.A. (“CCB Brasil”) hereby informs its clients, suppliers and the market that, on January 31, 2024, the acquisition of its shareholding control by Bank of China Limited (“BOC”), a Chinese financial institution headquartered in Beijing and the current parent company in Brazil of Banco da China Brasil S.A. (“BOC Brasil”), was implemented.

A process of transition and compliance with certain contractual and regulatory obligations is now underway in order to complete the transaction and, in due course, change the trade names and corporate names of CCB Brasil and its subsidiaries.

BOC is a Chinese bank with more than 112 years of tradition and is the most globalized and integrated of the country's banks. It has more than US$4.4 trillion in assets and approximately US$356 billion in core capital. In 2019, BOC was considered the Best Bank in Emerging Markets by the renowned Euromoney magazine and the Best Bank for Foreign Trade Operations by Asiamoney magazine. Here in Brazil, BOC Brasil was also considered the third best wholesale bank in 2021 by the “Finanças Mais ranking” of the O Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper.

The acquisition of CCB Brasil reinforces BOC's commitment to making its presence in the Brazilian financial market even more qualitative and relevant, optimizing its strategic, commercial, financial and corporate governance performance, which will add greater international business expertise and networking to our clients, as well as more advanced technological resources.
